We are thrilled to share the successful culmination of the “Enter the Circle” project, marking the final milestone in our journey to advance circular entrepreneurship. Our dedicated team of international partners gathered virtually on July 22-23, 2024, to review our progress and celebrate our achievements over the past year.
The meeting brought together key participants, including Theodora Makri, Carla Florio, Ilie Tomulescu, Natasha Koutoula, Georgia Griva, and Luis Ageitos. Their unwavering commitment and collaborative spirit have been the driving force behind our project’s success.
Significant Achievements and Milestones
Competence Framework for Circular Entrepreneurship: We proudly introduced and validated the Competence Framework for Circular Entrepreneurship. This comprehensive framework, enriched with insights from various focus groups, serves as the foundation for our educational initiatives. It is designed to equip young entrepreneurs with the essential skills and competencies needed to thrive in a circular economy.
Development of Learning Materials and MOOC: Our consortium worked diligently to develop robust learning materials and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). These resources include two manuals—one for trainers on platform usage and MOOC content implementation, and another for learners to facilitate self-guided learning. The MOOC offers six structured learning modules, each covering critical aspects of circular economy principles, sustainable business models, resource efficiency, and more.
Successful Pilot Training: We conducted pilot training sessions in Cyprus, Denmark, and Greece, engaging over 60 participants. Despite the extreme heat in Cyprus limiting physical attendance, the blended training sessions successfully delivered 20 hours of comprehensive learning. This pilot phase was instrumental in refining our materials and approach.
Certification for Circular Entrepreneurship: A significant milestone was the development of a certification scheme for circular entrepreneurship, spearheaded by Unicert. This certification aims to formally recognize the skills and competencies acquired by participants, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute to a sustainable future.
Dissemination and Outreach: Our dissemination efforts were robust, with each partner contributing to newsletters and outreach activities. The goal was to boost enrollment on the platform and engage a diverse audience, including individuals with disabilities. We are proud to report increased participation and successful dissemination of our project’s vision and outcomes.
Project Continuation and Future Plans: While this marks the official conclusion of the “Enter the Circle” project, the resources and frameworks developed will be integrated into each partner organization’s programs. We are optimistic about future collaborations and will carefully evaluate the project’s outcomes to inform potential future proposals.
Stay tuned for more updates and future initiatives as we continue to champion the principles of the circular economy and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Thank you to all our partners, participants, and supporters for making this project a resounding success!
