Six months after the successful kick-off meeting in Copenhagen, the “Enter the Circle” project recently held its second transnational project meeting in Greece. This meeting marked another significant step forward in our mission to advance the circular economy and empower young entrepreneurs with essential competencies and skills.
The meeting was attended by dedicated participants from various partner countries, including Eleni Vasdoka, Anna Koronioti, Georgia Griva, Ilie Tomulescu, Dorina Békefi, Carla Florio, and Luis Ageitos. Their enthusiasm and commitment continue to drive the project forward, building on the foundation laid during our initial meeting.
Key Discussions and Outcomes
Presentation of the Competence Framework: The meeting began with the introduction of the Validated Competence Framework for Circular Entrepreneurship. This comprehensive document, enriched with insights from focus groups, will form the basis of our educational initiatives. Plans are underway to enhance it with visual and illustrative elements to make it more engaging for learners.
Development of Support Materials: The consortium discussed the creation of support materials essential for delivering the framework effectively. Learning Seed, in collaboration with Unicert, will coordinate this effort. We are developing two manuals: one for trainers on using the platform and implementing MOOC content, and another for learners on self-guided learning. This content will cater to beginners and intermediates, ensuring broad accessibility and engagement.
Structured Learning Modules: The project will offer a structured learning experience through six comprehensive modules, each focusing on a key area of the framework. These modules will cover Circular Economy Principles and Strategies, Sustainable Business Models, Resource Efficiency, Sustainable Consumption and Production, Digitalization and Data Management, and Governance and Policy. Each module will include introductory and concluding videos, making the learning process dynamic and interactive.
Platform Selection: Partners explored various platforms to host the MOOC. The Common Ones are currently assessing three potential platforms: Canva, Moodle, and Fabo. The goal is to choose a platform that offers the best user experience and facilitates effective learning.
Project Management and Reporting: The meeting also covered essential project management aspects, including the interim report and project timeline adjustments. Despite some delays, the team is committed to meeting the new deadlines and ensuring the project’s success. The pilot training in a blended modality is tentatively scheduled to take place from late 2023 until summer 2024, marking the next exciting phase of our project.
The second transnational project meeting in Greece was a testament to the power of collaboration and shared vision. With a robust framework and a dedicated team, Enter the Circle is well on its way to making a significant impact in promoting circular entrepreneurship.
